For all beach lovers and explorers, a list of 25 best beaches around the world sans Mauritius, the Seychelles, the Caribbean and Pacific islands have been short listed by a panel of travel and tourism industry experts for the UK based newspaper, The Telegraph. According to the panel, the reason for not including the more famous beaches is because of their existing popularity among the travel community. The panel has come up with choices for every type of traveler, for those who want to spend with their families; adventure minded; and those preferring isolation. The selected beaches have been classified into five different categories focusing various sections of tourists.

Boulders beach in South Africa, St Stefanos in Greece, Studland Bay in UK and Fort de Soto Park in USA are among the best family beaches selected by the panel. Boulders Beach is one of the best beaches in South Africa and is internationally known for African Penguins. It is a must see in the list for travelers to Cape Town. St Stefanos in Greece is famous for its family atmosphere and huge presence of teenagers. Studland in UK is place for nature lovers to be close to both beach and exotic plants and birds. The Fort de Soto Park beach in Florida, US is well known as a family spot.

Tarifa Beach in Costa de la Luz, Spain; Kovalam in India; Portrush in Northern Ireland and Pipa in Brazil were the next set of beaches selected by the panel. The selection was made under the category of sports activities in the beaches. All most all the beaches have adrenalin pumping activities for those who want to taste adventure during their vacation. Common activities include, wind surfing, kayaking, water skiing, traction kiting, kite surfing and surf boating.

The panel selected the next set of beaches based on their remoteness. In this category, Sabratha in Libya, Marlborough Sounds in New Zealand, Baia di Ieranto in Italy, Shell Beach on Channel Islands and Kaya Mawa in Malawi were chosen. The other two categories of beaches were Wild and Breezy beaches and Stylish beaches. Under Wild and Breezy category came Cannon Beach in USA, Gotland in Sweden, Holkham Beach in UK, Cape Cod National Seashore in New England and Cable Beach in Western Australia. The stylish beaches listed by the panel included, Tulum Beach in Mexico; St Tropez in France; Shoal Bay East on Anguilla and Eilean Shona in Scotland. These beaches are famous for celebrity presence.

Stylish beaches or family ones, sporty ones or breezy ones, beach is a beach, where you soak in the sun and relieve in the freshness of the waves.
